Our Story

From Houston to the Field

Founded in 2015 in Houston, Texas, Seismos is a pioneer in closed-loop fracturing. We built the first surface-based acoustic measurement system capable of providing real-time subsurface feedback during hydraulic fracturing — without downhole tools, fiber optics, or offset wells. Our mission is simple: consistent execution beats perfect design. By giving completions teams measured subsurface data on every stage, we enable the shift from reactive decision-making to controlled execution.

2015

Founded in Houston

Seismos founded to develop surface-based acoustic measurement for hydraulic fracturing. Patented technology approach eliminates need for downhole tools or fiber optics.

2017

Technology Validation

Patented acoustic measurement technology validated through rigorous testing. First field trials demonstrate real-time subsurface feedback from surface-based sensors.

2019

First Commercial Deployments

Initial field deployments in the Permian Basin. SAFA (Seismos Acoustic Friction Analysis) validates real-time subsurface measurement during live frac operations.

2021

10,000 Stages Milestone

Seismos reaches 10,000 stages analyzed. Expands beyond Permian into Eagle Ford, Appalachia, and DJ Basin. Wellbore Integrity product launched.

2022

Liberty Energy Partnership

Liberty Energy begins offering Seismos Wellbore Integrity QC alongside its completion services. Canadian market entry via Western Canada Sedimentary Basin.

2024

ProFrac Partnership & Machina (with ProFrac)

Deep integration partnership with ProFrac Services. Seismos provides the real-time measurement intelligence inside Machina — ProFrac's unified design-to-execution well optimization suite with closed-loop fracturing.
